Men Trending exists because most gear content online is either trying to sell you something or written by someone who never touched the product.I’m Marcus Hart, a freelance contractor based in Austin, TX. I started this site after years of making bad purchasing decisions based on affiliate roundups that clearly hadn’t tested anything they recommended.
The premise here is simple: I buy it, use it for real, and write what I actually think. No manufacturer samples. No sponsored posts. No “it depends on your needs” non-answers.

Everyday carry gear, desk setups, EDC accessories. The stuff that’s in your pocket or on your desk every single day.
Active Gear
Recovery tools, home gym equipment. I hit the gym four mornings a week and my back reminds me regularly that I’m 36, not 26.
Tracking & Safety
GPS trackers, dash cams, asset tracking. I drive a 2019 F-150 and have opinions about what belongs under the bed. If I recommend something, I’ve used it. If I think it’s overpriced, I say so. If a $60 option outperforms the $150 version, that’s the one I lead with.
